Melissa Godbee, CNM
Melissa is a Certified Nurse-Midwife with a passion for supporting women and families through some of the most meaningful moments of their lives. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Middle Georgia State University and her Master of Science in Nursing, with a focus in Midwifery, from Frontier Nursing University.
Before becoming a midwife, Melissa spent nearly a decade caring for women and newborns as a Labor & Delivery nurse. Her nursing career included experience with Atrium Health, Emory Healthcare Warner Robins, and Piedmont Macon. These years at the bedside shaped her passion for pregnancy, birth, women’s health, and providing compassionate, individualized care.
Outside of caring for her patients, Melissa is a wife and proud mom of five—one son and four daughters. Her family also includes three dogs and one cat! When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and extended family. Family time is incredibly important to her, and she brings that same belief in connection, compassion, and individualized care to every patient she serves.
Melissa feels honored to walk alongside women throughout their healthcare journey and looks forward to building relationships with her patients and their families.
