Dental Care during Pregnancy
Precautions and Routine Dental Work During Pregnancy
Routine dental work is not contraindicated while pregnant. Examples of routine dental care are cleaning, simple extractions and fillings.
However, certain precautions should be taken even with routine dental care. A lead shield should be used during exposure to x-rays and elective procedures should be postponed, if possible, until after delivery.
Your dentist will probably require a letter from us. Please ask your nurse for one during an appointment.
